Hey y'all! This is Baby Rach hollerin at chu from the GC Camp! It is currently 7:35 am here, and most of us from the US have been up since 4:30-5:00 am. Our noses are stuffed, our bodies are confused, but our hearts are full. The Spirit is willing, but the body is weak. It has been an absolutely incredible experience so far; the church here is so warm and welcoming. Last night we divided into teams (cabins) and it has been great getting to know my girls. Please continue to pray for us as we pray for you all. ❤️
After many hours of flight, inconsistent naps, airplane movies, and many times of armpit sniffing to see how bad we smell ( honestly haven't showered since Friday), we've arrived. Yet to come is a few hours of waiting in the airport until our transportation arrives. It's crazy to think that we are waiting in an airport at 3am only to see kids and start camp later today. No rest for our weary souls :) Pray for our energy, safety, and a nice hot shower tonight!
Just a quick note to say we landed safely. Waiting for our last leg and looking for food. Already met someone from Manchester England who is traveling to his home. (Not the person with the headdress... that's Rachel! Ha ha) He was excited suggesting food places where we are heading. Team slept well and is in good spirits. There is a small amount of tension from the unknown but even it is overshadowed by the excitement of meeting the campers and arriving. Of course the first security check one of us gets pulled aside for having a forgotten knife in his bag. Won't mention who...let you guess. Ha ha. So that was a brief moment of excitement as they asked for his passport but it was settled quickly and we went on our way. The airport in which we are laying over is modern, big and beautiful but oddly empty for its size. Perhaps more people will show up. We are about to take communion. Thanks for continued prayers. Pray specifically for energy. Much love Jeff
Ladies and gentlemen, we are currently hanging out in the glorious Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. After a exhilerating trip to Starbucks, our hearts and minds are prepared for the adventure we are about to embark on. We board the plane in approximately 23 minutes. Prayers for safe travels, but more importantly, a restful plane night's sleep are greatly appreciated. Much love from our team to yours. Catch ya on the flip side (of the world).
