An ending to an amazing week

This week has been an amazing experience, and the word that comes to mind is change. Thanks to the trip, I have gained friends and strengthened friendships and much more. The week comes to an end and we start to think about heading back to the real world. We have had so much fun and although I am incredibly sad to leave, I can’t wait to share my experiences back home.

Forever Changed

Camp Swamp

It’s the last day of camp and I have loved the entire experience. Despite the language barrier, I was able to make real connections and relationships with my campers and the other campers. Camp has allowed me to come out of my shell and give my all. Swamp has the ability to turn your whole world around, if you let it. Swamp Corp has been a humbling experience for me. It has showed me that whether you are from North Carolina or from another country, you have the opportunity to you build deep, spiritual friendships that will last a lifetime. I can’t imagine where I would be without the friendships I’ve made at Swamp and Swamp Corp. The atmosphere of Camp is unlike any other. Swamp inspires me everyday to be myself. To worship the way I worship; to dance crazily if I want; to be quirky and silly, and to feel safe knowing that no one is going to judge me. I can’t imagine my life without Swamp. I always strive to be the person Swamp has taught me to be. To be hardworking, giving, spiritual, thoughtful, and to be myself. Forever Changed, Ameliya Boston

¡Hola!

Camp Swamp

Voy a escribir en español. Esta mañana tuvimos el devocional de canciones. ¡Fue muy bonito! Cantamos en inglés y español. Nos sentamos debajo los arboles y cerca del volcán. No puedo describir cuan bonito es aquí. No quiero irme. Necesito irme. ¡Hasta la vista!

Camp Swamp

Ao up to this point have had a lot of fun and I know we will continue to have more, we also had an amazing singing devo this morning. Luckily it hasn’t rained yet so we haven’t had to pull out the ponchos, but we have definitely all had a good sweat. Along the way I have learned that marching band is not a sport, water is wet and everything is original, so if nothing less it has been educational😂. In other news, my leg is still not broken and Haley Carman is still alive and well..... surprisingly. More updates are on the way but for now. Hasta luego!
